Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the module/unit the learner will be able to:

  • Advise on high level regulations
  • Prepare policies and procedures on anti-money laundering and financial markets abuse
  • Identify scenarios of conflicts of interest and manage such situations effectively
  • Understanding of the financial markets abuse requirements
  • Appreciate the importance of the management of conflicts of interest and prepare policies and procedures in this respect
  • Appreciate the requirements for ‘fitness and properness’ of key individuals and the process by the MFSA in terms of regulations
  • Appreciate the importance of promoting a good compliance culture and the methodologies for achieving this objective
  • Prepare policies and procedures as required in terms of the anti-money laundering and counter funding of terrorism regulations and financial markets abuse

Trainers

Dr. Rakele Cini

Dr. Rakele Cini graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2010 and was admitted to the Maltese Bar in the subsequent year.

Rakele joined BDO Malta in August 2016 and currently heads the Risk and Compliance Department which is responsible for the areas of risk management, prevention of money laundering & financing of terrorism and conflict checks, amongst others. She has acquired years of experience within these fields as lawyer to the practice protection group of one of the local big four accounting firms.

On the 9th February 2018, LEAD Training Services held its annual Award Ceremony at the Xara Lodge in Rabat. Present for this event were over 300 students who attended LEAD’s accredited professional short courses during 2017 and successfully achieved their CPD Award Qualifications.

Special guests for this ceremony included the Mr. Martin Borg, and Educational Management and Quality Control expert Mr. Paul Gauci Executive Head of BOV Training Centre and trainer with LEAD Training Services.
