The ceremony was opened by a welcome speech of LEAD Training Services Managing Director, Mr James Grech. Mr Grech spoke about the importance of continual professional development and also mentioned that LEAD Training Services will continue to develop specialised and relevant accredited CPD Award courses as he stated that knowledge, skills and competencies derived from such courses help both already seasoned and highly academically qualified professionals to keep abreast with emerging developments in their respective field of work, but also other individuals who did not have the opportunity to undertake tertiary education and hence find these short accredited courses as the right path to further develop their skills and perform better in their work.
Following Mr Grech’s speech, Dr Rose Anne Cuschieri, CEO of the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) addressed the audience. Dr Cuschieri spoke about the work of the NCFHE in the process of providing formal accreditation of CPD Awards and congratulated LEAD Training Services for being a firm believer of the CPD Award product.
Mr Paul Gauci, Head of Bank of Valletta’s Training Centre and trainer with LEAD Training Services followed with an interesting speech about Self-Motivation. During his speech, Mr Gauci quoted Napeloan Bonaparte saying “Opportunities? I make opportunities.”
