Indeed, there was no better time to invest in yourself and your professional career development! In fact, there are currently two training subsidy schemes available for individuals who are willing to take up an accredited course, namely the Get Qualified scheme and the Training Pays Scheme (TPS.)
Get Qualified Scheme
The Get Qualified Scheme which is administered by Malta Enterprise, allows individuals to get back 70% of the course fee via tax credit. This means that 70% of the course fee would be refunded back from the income tax which would have been paid by the individual in that particular year. Many of the courses on offer by LEAD Training Services have been approved by Malta Enterprise and have been registered as eligible courses for the Get Qualified Scheme. Moreover, LEAD Training Services assists students to apply for this scheme as it did successfully since this scheme was launched some years back.
Training Pays Scheme (TPS)
The Training Pays Scheme (TPS), which forms part of the ESF.01.001 – Training for Employment Project, aims to assist individuals to develop their skills by participating in further off-the-job training.
The scheme offers assistance in the form of a training grant to aid participants with costs relating to training. This grant will be awarded to the individual (trainee) after the successful completion of their training.
The TPS grant shall be equivalent to 75% of the direct training cost but does not exceed the maximum amount of €1,000. The grant will be reimbursed directly to the participant after successful completion of training and upon presentation of an invoice and an official receipt of payment together with a copy of the certificate and/or transcript denoting successful completion issued by the Training Institution.
